Shannon Hassett Harville is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with Orlando Health Medical Group Endocrinology, where she specializes in treating adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as thyroid conditions.
Diagnosed with diabetes when she was 11, Shannon learned about managing her chronic condition from a school nurse and was inspired to pursue becoming a nurse practitioner to fulfill her lifelong goal of improving the quality of life for patients with endocrine conditions.
She has cared for patients at Orlando Health since 2015, first as a student nurse intern and then as a registered nurse (RN) in an emergency department. Shannon has additional experience as a diabetes resource nurse and in caring for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
Shannon’s Training
Shannon earned her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) in the family nurse practitioner program, as well as her bachelor’s degree in nursing, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
