Shehzad H. Choudry, MD, specializes in interventional pain management practicing with Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Choudry cares for patients with debilitating conditions such as chronic back pain, compression fractures, degenerative disc disease and herniated discs. Treatments include the most recent advancements in spinal pain care such as spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, kyphoplasty, intrathecal therapies and the MILD® procedure, as well as all types of spinal injections.
After completing his undergraduate education at Wofford College, he earned his doctorate of medicine at the University of South Carolina. During medical school, Dr. Choudry developed an interest in the study of neurology and pain management. Dr. Choudry completed his neurology residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He went on to complete his fellowship in Pain Management at Duke University.
He is board certified in neurology and pain management by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Choudry is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, American Academy of Neurology and American Medical Association.
Dr. Choudry treats various pain issues but has a specific interest in spine pain, peripheral nerve dysfunction and complex regional pain syndrome.
