Dr. Simi George is a board-certified medical oncologist at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She helps diagnose and treat all cancer types but has special expertise in gastrointestinal cancers.
She will help guide the debuts of two site-specific programs:
Dr. George received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, after completing a bachelor of science at Cornell University. Her residency in internal medicine was completed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. She performed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Hofstra North Shore-Long Island Jewish School of Medicine in New Hyde Park, New York.
Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. George was an attending hematologist/oncologist focusing on gastrointestinal malignancies with the Orlando VA Medical Center.
She is board certified in medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
