Dr. Sindhu Jacob is a board-certified endocrinologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Endocrinology. She has several years of experience in diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the endocrine system, diabetes and metabolism. Her specialties include:
- Managing diabetes, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring
- Prediabetes and insulin resistance
- Thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Calcium disorders
- Metabolic bone disorders, including osteoporosis
- Managing endocrine disorders during pregnancy
She strives to provide the highest-quality care with empathy and compassion.
Dr. Jacob’s Training
Dr. Jacob earned her medical degree at JJM Medical College, Mysore University in India and trained as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, an affiliate of the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and performed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

In 2009, USA Today named Dr. Jacob one of the nation’s most influential doctors. She was listed among the top 10 endocrinologists in the nation from 2015 to present based on patient satisfaction reviews.
Dr. Jacob is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and is board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has delivered several lectures on diabetes education.
