Dr. Steven Brooks is a board-certified urologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Urology and has served as the chief of surgery at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital since 2005. As a urologist, Dr. Brooks has been diagnosing and treating prostate conditions and incontinence in Central Florida for 30 years.
He has been designated as a Center of Excellence for GreenLight™ Laser Therapy, a distinction awarded to urologists who expertly use this advanced technology to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), often referred to as an enlarged prostate gland. Dr. Brooks’ clinical studies have focused on prostate cancer reduction, catheter use and the effects of drugs commonly prescribed to treat BPH.
Dr. Brooks’ Training
Dr. Brooks earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington. He completed his surgical residency at New York University – Bellevue Medical Center in New York City. His residency in urology was performed at the University of Connecticut Health Center and affiliated hospitals, where he served as chief urology resident.
