Susan E. desJardins, MD, specializes in pediatric cardiology at The Heart Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
Dr. desJardins received her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Johns Hopkins University and at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Beginning her medical career on active duty for the U.S. Air Force, Dr. desJardins provided pediatric cardiology care for military dependents at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. While at Tripler, she served as chief of pediatric cardiology and director of the pediatric intensive care unit.
After discharge from the military, Dr. desJardins joined Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in 2003, where she provides outpatient and inpatient management of general pediatric cardiology patients.
