Bio
Dr. Tania Lopez is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Gastroenterology. She provides comprehensive gastrointestinal care, such as diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the GI tract, as well as preventive care. Dr. Lopez specializes in:
- Liver disease
- Pancreatic disease
- Biliary disease
- Endoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography
Dr. Lopez was inspired to become a doctor by her grandfather, who treated patients in the small town she grew up in. Now she strives to treat each patient as if they were family.
Dr. Lopez’s Training
Dr. Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and received her osteopathic medicine degree with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was inducted into Psi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society. Dr. Lopez completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida / Largo Medical Center in Largo, where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Lopez also completed specialty rotations in esophagology and motility at USF and in inflammatory bowel disease at University of Florida Health / Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Dr. Lopez is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Gastroenterology and American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society Young Physicians Organization, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American College of Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with family, playing with her dog, running, hiking, traveling and baking. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
