Dr. Teresa T. Martin-Carreras is a board-certified radiologist and a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. She cares for patients who need interpretation of their diagnostic imaging, including:
- X-rays
- Ultrasounds
- Computed tomography (CT)
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Dr. Martin-Carreras also performs image-guided procedures of the joints for adult and pediatric patients.
As a child in her native Havana, Cuba, Dr. Martin-Carreras was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by doctors who were close family friends as they discussed interesting cases, diagnoses and treatments. She draws upon these formative early experiences and her own medical journey to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Martin-Carreras’ Training
Dr. Martin-Carreras earned her medical degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in imaging informatics at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Her fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention was performed at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison.

Dr. Martin-Carreras is certified with the American Board of Radiology. She is affiliated with the American Association for Women Radiologists, Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
She has published numerous scientific manuscripts on musculoskeletal radiology topics, artificial intelligence techniques in radiology, and methods to develop more patient-centered radiology reports.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting farmers’ markets, biking, trying new restaurants, going to the beach and traveling. Dr. Martin-Carreras is fluent in English and Spanish.
