Bio
Thomas Brown, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist, who leads the Dermatology Program, part of the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center at Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He has a special clinical interest in skin cancer and complex medical dermatology, and his expertise includes:

- Hidradenitis suppurativa

Dr. Brown believes in guiding patients through each step of their care, ensuring they feel supported, informed and empowered. He strives to treat everyone with compassion and respect.
Dr. Brown’s Training
Dr. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and microbiology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and received his osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his dermatology residency at Mercer University School of Medicine / HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, where he served as chief resident in his final year.
About Dr. Brown
Dr. Brown is board certified in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Brown teaches at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, watching sports and being outdoors.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
