Bio
Timothy W. Jones, MD, is a physician at Orlando Health Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Specialists. He is board certified in four specialties including pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, sleep medicine and internal medicine.
Dr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science and medical degree through an accelerated program at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. And he completed his pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at the University of Florida.
Dr. Jones has been practicing since 2008. He joined Orlando Health in 2010, and is actively involved in teaching the next generation of healthcare providers, including medical students, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and resident and fellow physicians. In 2015, the internal medicine residents at Orlando Health awarded Dr. Jones “Attending of the Year” for his dedication to their education. Dr. Jones recognizes the important role everyone plays as part of the healthcare team. Because of his team-based approach to patient care, the nurses at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies named Dr. Jones an “Exemplary Physician Colleague” in 2011.
Dr. Jones also serves as the medical director of the Orlando Health Pulmonary Wellness Center, which uses pulmonary rehabilitation to improve the functional status and performance of patients with advance lung diseases. He participates in several Orlando Health committees focused on delivering the highest quality medical care. Dr. Jones cares for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, and has an active pulmonary practice with a focus on sleep medicine. Dr. Jones lives in Orlando with his wife and two children.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
