Dr. Valerie Izarnotegui is a board-certified cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. With a focus on identification and treatment, she specializes in:

Dr. Izarnotegui’s Training
Dr. Izarnotegui received her medical training at Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. Her fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular medicine were performed at the University of Virginia Health System.
She served as post-graduate cardiology department chief at the Centro de Diagnostico Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina CEDIMAT in Santo Domingo. Her tenure there included teaching and supervising new medical graduates, as well as caring for patients in the medical surgical intensive care unit.

She is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American College of Cardiology and certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians.
Outside of work, she enjoys audiobooks, gardening, crafting, baking with her two daughters and spending time outdoors. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
