Bio
Dr. W. Kevin Cox is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With more than 30 years of experience, his expertise includes:
- General orthopedic surgery
- Total hip and knee replacements
- Minimally invasive hip and knee replacements
- Trauma care
- Sports-related injuries
Dr. Cox’s philosophy of care is patient-centered, focusing on education and communication to ensure the best possible outcomes. He treats his patients with compassion and respect, involving them in all decisions about their healthcare and providing evidence-based treatment options.
Dr. Cox’s Training
Dr. Cox earned a bachelor’s degree at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year.
About Dr. Cox
Dr. Cox is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He holds additional certifications in Mako robotic surgery and the use of the Holmium laser in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Cox’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Medical Association and Florida Orthopaedic Society.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, cycling, woodworking and staying active in his church. Dr. Cox has volunteered with several charities and on medical missions to Ukraine and Ethiopia.

The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
