Dr. Walter A. Conlan III is a triple board-certified wound specialist and hyperbaric physician who serves as medical director of the Orlando Health Outpatient Wound Healing Center. He has practiced in Central Florida since 1996. Dr. Conlan has extensive experience treating the most severe types of chronic wounds, including:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Pressure injuries
He provides care in the Critical Limb Ischemia program and treats patients at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center as well as at the Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Conlan’s Training
Dr. Conlan received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Northwestern University Medical Center.
About Dr. Conlan
Dr. Conlan is a diplomate and a certified wound specialist physician (CWSP) of the American Board of Wound Management. He serves on the organization’s board of directors and is a past president.
He also is board certified by and a diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, specializing in undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Additionally, Dr. Conlan is board certified by and a diplomate of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His other professional memberships include the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and the Florida Medical Association.
