Dr. Yllen Hernandez Blanco is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist with Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute. Her specialties include:

Dr. Hernandez's Training
Dr. Hernandez earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating magna cum laude, at the University of Puerto Rico in Caguas and received her medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas. She completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, where she received the Humanism in Medicine and Outstanding Fellow of the Year awards.
About Dr. Hernandez
Dr. Hernandez is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and her professional memberships include the American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Physicians.
Her research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and she has delivered poster presentations at national conferences.
Dr. Hernandez is certified as a bilingual language interpreter in Spanish and English and helps translate between patients and co-workers.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, traveling, exercising and outdoor adventures.
