Yolene is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with Orlando Health who offers health and wellness services at the Seminole County Public Schools Wellness Center. She cares for school district employees only and her experience includes:
- Annual wellness physicals
- Lab draws
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol management
- Glucose monitoring
- Nutrition counseling
She also is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and has cared for patients in Central Florida since 1997. Yolene considers building a legacy of trust and engaging patients in their own health journeys to be an important part of her role as a health-care provider.
Yolene’s Training
Yolene received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Southern College in Lakeland and earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, where she also earned an MBA. She completed post-graduate training in the family nurse practitioner program from South University in Savannah, Georgia.
About Yolene
As a board member at the Healthy Start Coalition for Osceola County, Yolene helps connect vulnerable women to prenatal care, drug dependence care and other services. She also serves as a volunteer healthcare professional member of the Gaskov Clerge Foundation, which organizes missions to promote health, sports, education and sciences in Haiti.
Yolene is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and six grandchildren.
