Zachary Kustin is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He works alongside advanced heart failure specialists, electrophysiologists, and general and interventional cardiologists to provide care to complex cardiac patients. As a senior cardiovascular physician assistant, Zachary’s job duties include:
- Evaluating and managing complex cardiac patients
- Conducting post-procedure appointments
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Providing patient education
- Preventive cardiology
- Lipid management
Zachary’s goal is for his patients to leave their appointments feeling empowered, cared for and heard. He aims to develop warm, compassionate relationships with his patients as he works to improve their quality of life.
Zachary’s Training
Zachary graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He earned his master’s degree in clinical medical science from Barry University in St. Petersburg, Florida.
About Zachary
Zachary is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the National Lipid Association.
He spent years volunteering as a suicide prevention counselor and also worked as a counselor at Camp Boggy Creek, a camp in Eustis, Florida, for children with serious illnesses.
Outside of work, Zachary enjoys traveling, cooking and sampling fine wines.
