• Special program for pulmonary hypertension receives national recognition

  ORLANDO, Fla. (January 14, 2016) --- The Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program recently received accreditation as a Comprehensive Care Center from the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA)’s accreditation program for Pulmonary Hypertension Care Centers. The institute’s program is second in the state and among the first 30 hospitals in nation to receive this accolade.

• Dr. P. Phillips Hospital 30th Anniversary Celebrates Commitment to Community

  ORLANDO, FL. (November 16, 2015) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital celebrates its 30^th anniversary this month. The hospital, which opened in 1985 as Sand Lake Hospital, shares a unique bond with the Dr. Phillips community. Built on property that was Dr. Philip Phillips’ first orange grove in Orange County, the opening of the hospital brought critical healthcare services to the southwest community, including a 24-hour emergency department. Now, 30 years later, that 150-bed hospital has grown to 237-beds, and its emergency department treats more than 80,000 patients each year.

The organizations listed are primarily foundations affiliated with not-for-profit hospitals or health systems.
