  • Orlando Health announces new president of Health Central Hospital

    Orlando, FL (April 4, 2016) – Orlando Health has named Mark Marsh, senior vice president, Orlando Health and president, Health Central Hospital. He will begin his new role May 1, replacing Greg Ohe, who was recently named senior vice president of ambulatory services for Orlando Health. Mr. Marsh most recently served as chief executive officer of Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee, a 270-bed acute care hospital. In that position, he was responsible for operations, building physician relationships, and engaging employees.

  • Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute to establish liver center, begin groundwork for solid organ transplant program

    Orlando, Fla. (April 13, 2022) --- Arvind Murali, MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) has joined the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute, the highly specialized gastrointestinal diagnostic and treatment center designed and developed to serve patients from across the southeastern United States. Dr. Murali, who is board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology will establish the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute Liver Center — a liver care specialty area and begin the groundwork for establishing an abdominal solid organ transplant program for the health system.

  • Orlando Health Unveils Name for Highly Anticipated Proton Therapy Center

    ORLANDO, FL. (March 8, 2016) – In just a matter of weeks Orlando Health will open the first proton therapy center in Central Florida, providing patients with a valuable new tool in the fight against cancer. Now, that center has a name, and one with special meaning - The Marjorie and Leonard Williams Center for Proton Therapy. Marjorie Williams, a patient at UF Health Cancer Center - Orlando Health, passed away in September of 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. In her memory, her husband, Leonard, and the Williams Family Foundation is providing a leadership gift in her name to Orlando Health to support proton therapy treatment.

  • Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Joins the Orlando Health Family

    St. Petersburg, FL (October 1, 2020) – Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is now officially part of Orlando Health Inc. Orlando Health, a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization headquartered in Central Florida, officially closed on the hospital purchase from Community Health Systems (CHS) on Wednesday, September 30. The City of St. Petersburg, which owns the land that the hospital sits on, approved transferring the lease to Orlando Health in July. 

  • Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute now offering free community exercise classes for Parkinson’s patients

    Orlando, FL (September 20, 2023) – Local patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease now have access to free fitness classes tailored to their medical needs, thanks to the Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute and grant funding from the Parkinson Association of Central Florida. Patients do not need a physician referral to join the classes.
