  • Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Joins the Orlando Health Family

    St. Petersburg, FL (October 1, 2020) – Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is now officially part of Orlando Health Inc. Orlando Health, a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization headquartered in Central Florida, officially closed on the hospital purchase from Community Health Systems (CHS) on Wednesday, September 30. The City of St. Petersburg, which owns the land that the hospital sits on, approved transferring the lease to Orlando Health in July. 

  • Orlando Health rebrands imaging centers

    Orlando, FL (September 6, 2016) – The name Orlando Health Imaging Centers is now official. Today the Altamonte Springs facility, formerly known as Boston Diagnostic Imaging, became the first of five facilities to welcome new temporary exterior signage bearing the Orlando Health moniker. Permanent signage is expected to be installed throughout September. Orlando Health and Medical Center Radiology Group (MCRG) formed a company to purchase the outpatient imaging centers in December 2014 and have devoted the past 18 months to integrating them into the Orlando Health network.

  • New Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion Unveiled at Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address

    Kissimmee, FL (April 25, 2017)  – Osceola County and Tupperware Brands are working in conjunction with Orlando Health to bring a new emergency room and medical pavilion to the community, officials announced today during Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address. The $32 million, 13-acre project will be located in Osceola County Commissioner Viviana Janer’s district on the northwest corner of Orange Avenue and Osceola Parkway; property that is part of Tupperware Brands’ Osceola Corporate Center. 

  • Orlando Health Issues $315 Million in Bonds

    ORLANDO, FL (April 14, 2016) – Orlando Health has announced its largest bond issue in the history of the organization. On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, approximately $240 million in tax-exempt bonds were issued by the Orange County Health Facilities Authority and approximately $75 million in taxable bonds were issued by the Orlando Health Obligated Group. The offering was oversubscribed generating $2.5 billion in orders. Funds raised from the issue will be used to refinance a portion of the organization’s existing debt, including debt taken on to purchase Health Central.

    LAKE MARY, Fla. (May 17, 2016) — Cancer patients living in north Seminole County and the Lake Mary community now have more options available to them for receiving cancer care. UF Health Can-cer Center - Orlando Health has opened a new collaborative cancer center located along Rinehart Road in Lake Mary. The 12,000 square foot cancer treatment facility will offer medical oncology ser-vices including chemotherapy, infusion services and oncology appointments giving patients local ac-cess to the cancer center specialists, vast resources, leading-edge treatments and ongoing medical trials. Radiation oncology services will begin later this summer.
