Four Orlando Health hospitals earn Top Hospital designations
Orlando, FL (December 7, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies have been designated as Top Hospitals in the country by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization. Hospitals recognized as Top performers have better systems in place to prevent medication errors, higher quality on maternity care and high-risk procedures, and lower readmission rates than other hospitals.

Three Orlando Health hospitals earn Top Hospital designations
Orlando, FL (December 4, 2018) – Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children have been designation as Top Hospitals in the country by the Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization. Performance across many areas of hospital care is considered in establishing the qualifications for the award, including infection rates, maternity care, and the hospital’s capacity to prevent medication errors.

Statement on Passing of Arnold Palmer
We are deeply saddened to hear reports that Arnold Palmer has passed away. Mr. Palmer lived an incredible life and accomplished so much on and off the golf course. He built a world-class medical center that has had a tremendous impact on the lives of children and families in this community for more than 27 years. West Orange Health District awards $13.8 million grant to Health Central Hospital to Expand
The West Orange Healthcare District (the District) has awarded a $13.8 million grant to Health Central Hospital to expand. The grant is the second largest in the history of the District and will fund 75 percent of the total expansion costs. Orlando Health will fund the remaining 25 percent. The funds will be used to add 40 rooms to Health Central Hospital, increasing its bed count from 171 to 211 and enabling the further development of specialized care.
