Orlando Pride Players Surprise Pediatric Cancer Patient
ORLANDO, FL. (July 11, 2016) – It was special day at Orlando Health as a pediatric cancer patient got a surprise visit from some of his soccer idols. Orlando Pride soccer players Aubrey Bledsoe (goalkeeper), Christina Burkenroad (forward), Jamia Fields (forward) and Dani Weatherholt (mid-fielder) dropped in at UF Health Cancer Center - Orlando Health to surprise 12-year old Zayne Burton who was completing his final round of proton therapy treatment. Zayne, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year, made history when he became the first pediatric patient to undergo proton therapy treatment here in Central Florida at the Center for Proton Therapy at Orlando Health. The players brought Zayne a signed Alex Morgan jersey and then helped him with the ceremonial ringing of the bell to celebrate completing his proton treatment.

Orlando Regional Medical Center receives Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation
Orlando, Fla. (July 20, 2016) — Orlando Regional Medical Center recently received full Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services (EPS) Accreditation status from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC). ORMC is one of only two hospitals in Florida, and the only one in Central Florida achieving the designation for its Atrial Fibrillation Program.

Special program for pulmonary hypertension receives national recognition
ORLANDO, Fla. (January 14, 2016) --- The Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program recently received accreditation as a Comprehensive Care Center from the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA)’s accreditation program for Pulmonary Hypertension Care Centers. The institute’s program is second in the state and among the first 30 hospitals in nation to receive this accolade.

ORLANDO, FL. (October 19, 2016) –This morning, UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health celebrated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its annual Hope Hike from Orlando City Hall, where Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan and other elected officials proclaimed October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hundreds of Hope Hikers then walked the 1.2 miles down Orange Avenue to UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health.
