• Orlando Health to acquire Alabama health system, expanding presence and patient care in the state

  Orlando, FL (April 8, 2026) – Orlando Health today announced plans to acquire RMC Health System in Anniston, Alabama, expanding the organization’s presence in the state and creating new opportunities to enhance patient care across the region. RMC is a not-for-profit health system that includes a 375-bed medical center, outpatient facilities and specialty practices serving patients throughout Northeast Alabama. Once the acquisition closes, RMC will become part of the organization’s Alabama Region, which includes Baptist Health. The transaction is expected to be completed this fall.

  Orlando, FL (December 7, 2023) – Seminole State College of Florida recognized Orlando Health as a Community Pathfinder at their “State of the College” Convocation. Presented by college president Dr. Georgia Lorenz, Orlando Health received the award for the healthcare system’s outstanding innovation and dedicated service.

  Orlando, FL (August 27, 2020) – Orlando Health has been named by Forbes as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers for 2020! The healthcare system came in at number 24 in Florida, out of 100 employers. The rankings were based on feedback from a survey of 80,000 Americans who work for businesses with a minimum of 500 employees. Forbes partnered with Statista, a provider of market and consumer data, to conduct the survey from October 2019 to May 2020.

  Orlando, FL (January 11, 2022) – Eight top nursing students from Seminole Stage College of Florida are starting the year getting hands-on experience caring for seriously ill patients at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital.

• New Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion Unveiled at Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address

  Kissimmee, FL (April 25, 2017)  – Osceola County and Tupperware Brands are working in conjunction with Orlando Health to bring a new emergency room and medical pavilion to the community, officials announced today during Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address. The $32 million, 13-acre project will be located in Osceola County Commissioner Viviana Janer’s district on the northwest corner of Orange Avenue and Osceola Parkway; property that is part of Tupperware Brands’ Osceola Corporate Center.
