The $1 million sponsorship will be used for project construction as well as for the establishment of an endowed scholarship that is healthcare related. Three Orlando Health hospitals receive ‘A’ grades for patient safety in fall 2018 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
Orlando, FL (November 8, 2018) – Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital were awarded ‘A’ grades from The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2018 hospital safety survey. The designation recognizes the hospitals’ efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States.

Orlando, FL (September 7, 2021) – Orlando Health opened the 2022 cycle of the Orlando Health Community Grant Program on September 7, 2021. As part of its ongoing commitment to Central Florida, the program offers competitive grants to assist local organizations and Orlando Health team members in their efforts to improve health and wellness in the region.

All Orlando Health hospitals receive top grades for patient safety
Orlando, FL (October 31, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Health Central Hospital, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), South Seminole Hospital, and South Lake Hospital in affiliation with Orlando Health have all received “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of nearly 30 healthcare measures including communication between clinicians and patients, implementation of processes and protocols to promote safe patient care that have been established by the National Quality Forum, and a hospital’s culture.

Orlando, FL (April 12, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and South Seminole Hospital were recently awarded “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. Orlando Health’s Health Central Hospital and South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health, were awarded “B” grades. Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of 30 healthcare measures such as patient experience, training, hospital culture, as well as hospitals’ rates for preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. All Orlando Health hospitals scored higher this rating period than the previous October 2016 rating period.
