Orlando Health Opens Proton Therapy Center, First in Central Florida
Central Florida now has a valuable new tool in the fight against cancer. Orlando Health has officially opened The Marjorie and Leonard Williams Center for Proton Therapy, bringing state-of-the-art cancer treatment options to those battling cancer in Central Florida. The center, the first to offer proton therapy treatments in Central Florida, joins an elite group of proton therapy centers around the world. It is the third proton therapy center to open in the state of Florida and only the 23rd in the nation. Currently there are 67 proton therapy centers worldwide.

$5 Million Gift Expands Pediatric Neurological Care in Central Florida
Orlando, FL (October 17, 2018) – An Orlando woman with a long history of philanthropy is helping expand care for children with neurological conditions in Central Florida. At her 87th birthday celebration, Helen Leon, agreed to give $5 million to the newly created neuroscience center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is Official Milk Depot for Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida, Inc.
Lake Mary, FL (October 2, 2025) – Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital becomes the first hospital in Seminole County to become a milk drop depot for the Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida. Mothers who qualify can donate extra breast milk to help nourish premature and at-risk babies in a safe and controlled milk collection point. Recently, Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital received its first donation of 500 ounces of milk from Nicole Wirth of Sanford.
