Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is Official Milk Depot for Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida, Inc.
Lake Mary, FL (October 2, 2025) – Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital becomes the first hospital in Seminole County to become a milk drop depot for the Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida. Mothers who qualify can donate extra breast milk to help nourish premature and at-risk babies in a safe and controlled milk collection point. Recently, Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital received its first donation of 500 ounces of milk from Nicole Wirth of Sanford.

News & World Report as one of the highest performing hospitals nationwide in nine essential clinical areas. Elementary School Surrounded by Food Desert Plants Seeds for Healthier Lives
Orlando, FL (October 14, 2022) – Orange Center Elementary School students spent the day planting herbs and vegetables in their very own teaching garden located on the school’s campus. The students planted seeds for various plants with the help of teachers and Orlando Health team members and will harvest produce as it ripens throughout the school year. The teaching garden, which was sponsored and built by Orlando Health, has been used as a tool to introduce and help develop an appreciation for nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables.

Orlando Health earns perfect score in CHIME’s 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey
Orlando, FL (November 4, 2024) Orlando Health has earned the highest recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), which ranked the healthcare system a Level 10 – a perfect score – in two categories, acute and ambulatory services, in its 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey. This is the second consecutive year that Orlando Health has achieved a Level 10 in these categories. CHIME initially recognized the hospital system in 2018 with Level 8, a designation maintained the following years until it earned a Level 9 in 2022. Before then, Orlando Health received the award from the American Hospital Association, which previously administered the survey.
