Robert L Masson, MD
Robert L. Masson, MD, is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in spinal injury and sports neurosurgery, and serves as medical director of the NeuroSpine Center of Excellence based at Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital. He is also the founder of the NeuroSpine Institute, known for providing rapid recovery spine health solutions and minimally invasive spine decompression and reconstruction.
Dr. Masson earned both his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville. There, he also completed a general surgery internship as well as a neurological surgery residency. He later fulfilled a skull base surgery and neurotology fellowship at House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. Masson has been an international educator in complex lumbar spine reconstruction, microsurgical reconstruction and cervical arthroplasty for more than 15 years and has 25 years of microneurosurgical practice. He has developed techniques and products for two of the world’s top spine companies, which produce advanced products for minimally invasive spinal reconstruction.
