Phillips Hospital, Health Central Hospital, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), South Seminole Hospital, and South Lake Hospital in affiliation with Orlando Health have all received “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.  Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of nearly 30 healthcare measures including communication between clinicians and patients, implementation of processes and protocols to promote safe patient care that have been established by the National Quality Forum, and a hospital’s culture.
