  • Program Requirements

    APP Fellows will be required to complete a pre- and post-test for each clinical rotation with a minimum passing score to complete the program. Completion of a structured, self-learning curriculum is also required. Attendance will be required at regularly scheduled lectures and conferences. Active participation in these activities is required. At completion of the program, fellows will have the opportunity to obtain certification in Oncology/Hematology through a specified certifying entity.

    The Postgraduate PA Surgery Trauma Fellowship is 12-months of clinical practice-based experience along with didactic learning in various surgical specialties as well as the care of the trauma patient from their first encounter in the Emergency department through their continuum of care in the ICU, hospital floor and eventual discharge. The fellowship rotations may include:

    Eligible candidates must be certified PAs, Family Nurse Practitioners, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners with an active Florida license or the ability to obtain one before starting the program. Current students are encouraged to apply with the understanding of the above eligibility requirements.
