Highlights
Orlando Health’s 2024 Internal Medicine Jeopardy Team - Shelby Ploucher, MD (PGY 2), Teresa Bernardes, MD (PGY 2), and Rida Altaf, DO (PGY 1) won first place during the Doctor’s Dilemma Competition at the 2024 Florida Chapter ACP Annual Spring Meeting. They will advance to the finals that will be held during the 2024 Florida Chapter ACP Annual Scientific Meeting in October!

Global Health
Our Internal Medicine Residency has had a Global Health elective since 2011. Every year our associate program director, Dr. Kwabena Ayesu, takes a group of residents to Ghana. During this time abroad, residents set up clinics in impoverished communities to provide direct medical care. Residents also experience what medical training in Ghana looks like and have the opportunity to round in local hospitals. The people and patients inspire us to continue our work to bring healthcare directly to these medically underserved populations.
