Orlando Health hospitals across Central Florida have been honored among the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Modern Healthcare, recognized for delivering patients with superior outcomes and more efficient care.
Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center — together with Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies — was recognized among the top 25 teaching hospitals in the United States. Orlando Health South Lake Hospital was ranked among the top 15 large community hospitals on the 2026 list.
“Our patients and families count on us to provide high-quality care the same way we would want for ourselves and our loved ones,” says Suzanne Worthington, senior vice president and chief quality officer of Orlando Health. “This recognition reflects our commitment to delivering personalized, highly reliable care for every patient, every time, every day and honors the team members and physicians whose dedication makes this level of care possible.”
For more than 30 years, the 100 Top Hospitals program has used objective, quantitative analysis of publicly available data to identify the top-performing hospitals in the U.S. Hospitals cannot apply, opt in or pay for inclusion. Based on comparisons between the study’s top performers and peer hospitals, the analysis found that this year’s 100 Top Hospitals delivered better outcomes while operating more efficiently.
“Earning a place on this list is a testament to our team’s commitment to safety, quality and putting patients first,” adds Lance Sewell, president of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. “For decades, our physicians and team members have made serving the Lake County community their top priority, and this recognition is a gratifying testament to that dedication that will continue for many years to come.”
The analysis program is designed to help healthcare leaders pursue higher performance and deliver added value to patients and communities by providing transparent, nonbiased benchmarks and actionable insights.
