Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital Earns Patient Care Excellence and Operating Room Safety Awards
Orlando, FL (October 6, 2025) – Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital has recently been recognized with two prestigious awards, the American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® - Resuscitation Silver Award and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Go Clear™ Award. These accolades highlight the hospital’s dedication to providing excellent patient care and fostering a culture of team member wellbeing.
Earning the Get With the Guidelines® – Resuscitation Silver Award underscores the team’s commitment in treating in-hospital cardiac arrests. During these emergencies, timely medical team response and effective CPR are crucial in saving lives. The Get with the Guidelines – Resuscitation program was developed to ensure hospitals are following the latest research-based guidelines as outlined by the American Heart Association.
The AORN Go Clear™ Award signifies that Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital’s surgical team has successfully completed AORN’s comprehensive, evidence-based program and implemented advanced technologies to ensure a smoke-free environment wherever surgical smoke is generated. This achievement demonstrates the facility’s proactive approach to protecting the health and well-being of everyone in the operating room.
