All Orlando Health Physician Associates podiatrists are board certified or board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, recognized as the certifying board for primary podiatric medicine and podiatric orthopedics. Our foot and ankle surgeons are the surgical specialists of the podiatric profession. American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeon (ACFAS) members are graduates of accredited U.S. podiatric medical schools who have completed surgical residency programs of up to three years. Fellows of the College are certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the highest certification that can be earned by physicians in this specialty. Many have additional fellowship training in various aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
Podiatry medicine specialists are skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, skin and nail problems, and congenital conditions affecting the foot, ankle and lower extremities. We care for patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. If needed, all ACFAS members are dedicated to surgical excellence in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Some lower extremity and foot problems can be related to other serious health conditions, such as diabetes, arteriosclerosis, heart disease and kidney ailments. Your podiatrist will consult with other specialists as needed to provide comprehensive, total-patient care.
As part of your healthcare team, a podiatrist can help you stay healthy, active and independent. Conveniently located, our podiatry medicine practices provide your family easy access to quality healthcare.
