    System-wide medical direction is provided by the Orange County EMS Office of the Medical Director (OMD). Dr. Christian Zuver, Dr. Desmond Fitzpatrick and Dr. Danielle DiCesare are full-time EMS physicians that oversee the day-to-day activities of the EMS office including the OCEMS On-line Medical Control base station. In addition, Drs. Alexa Rodriguez, Christine Van Dillen, and Chris Hunter provide additional physician oversight of the system.

  • Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center Achieves Magnet® Recognition

    Orlando, Fla. (March 24, 2023) — Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) achieved Magnet recognition in February as a reflection of its nursing professionalism, teamwork and superiority in patient care. The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program® distinguishes organizations that meet rigorous standards for nursing excellence. Orlando Health ORMC joins its sister hospitals, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, in achieving Magnet recognition. Orlando Health ORMC, a designated advanced comprehensive stroke center and Orlando’s only Level One Trauma Center, is the only adult acute care hospital in Orlando to achieve the Magnet recognition.

  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency - OHORMC

    The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (OHORMC) was established in 2001. It is an ASHP-accredited one-year post-graduate training program designed to develop essential knowledge and skills for contemporary health-system pharmacy. The residency provides flexibility to adapt to the resident’s specific learning needs and goals. Training is provided through rotational experiences and longitudinal activities.

    ORLANDO, Fla. (August 31, 2020) --- Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) recently named Chris Hunter, MD, PhD, assistant vice president and chief quality officer of Medicine. In his new role, Dr. Hunter will work with leadership and medical staff to develop and implement organizational quality initiatives to achieve desired metrics and patient safety outcomes. Dr. Hunter will support activities, processes, and policies to continue high quality patient care, driven by system-wide clinical practices and standards. He will also support the development and adoption of organizational strategies to enhance the culture of quality and safety.
