Christina McGuirk, MSHA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, CENP

Christina McGuirk, DNP, MSHA, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, is chief nursing officer for Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, overseeing the hospital’s nursing services and coordinating daily operations to ensure patients receive the highest level of care. She is responsible for leading the hospital’s nursing vision, strategic direction and delivery of care.

Since joining Orlando Health more than 30 years ago, Christina has held nursing leadership positions at multiple facilities within the system. Over the past 10 years, she has assisted in the expansion of Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital’s emergency department and new inpatient bed tower as well as the design and opening of Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital. In addition, Christina guided the hospital toward achieving accreditations for specialty programs in chest pain, heart failure, stroke, hip and knee joint replacement, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery.

Christina earned her master’s in health services administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and her doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She holds executive nursing credentials from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Organization of Nurse Executives and is an active member of the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Along with serving on several academic boards she is active serving in the community.
