Chief Financial Officer
Bernadette Spong oversees all facets of financial operations for Orlando Health. These areas include finance, supply chain, information services, revenue management, asset strategy and care coordination. Bernadette joined the organization in 2015 with 30 years of healthcare experience.
Jamal Hakim, MD
Chief Operating Officer
As the Chief Operating Officer, Jamal Hakim, MD, oversees the daily operations and management of all Orlando Health hospitals and their patient care. He also oversees the organization’s clinical quality, corporate nursing, medical staff services, and human resources. Dr. Hakim has served Orlando Health in various capacities since 1991, including interim president and CEO from 2013 to 2015.
Mildred Beam, Esq.
Chief Legal Strategist
Mildred Beam provides system-level guidance concerning legal strategy, mergers and acquisition activity, regulatory compliance and governance matters, while supporting the legal affairs function of Orlando Health. She also has operational responsibility for the organization’s clinical research function.
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, Orlando Health Foundation
Since joining Orlando Health in 1977, John has served as financial analyst, director of finance, vice president of finance, senior vice president, and vice president and executive director of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He has also served as vice president of business development and president of Arnold Palmer Hospital.
President, Orlando Health Medical Group Senior Vice President, Orlando Health
As president of Orlando Health Medical Group, Dr. Sunil Desai is responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction of more than 1,000 employed clinicians. He also practices part-time in the intensive care unit of Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC).
Cary J. D’Ortona
President, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Senior Vice President, Orlando Health
Cary D’Ortona was appointed president of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and senior vice president of Orlando Health in June 2018. He is responsible for developing, leading and implementing the hospital’s strategic and operational direction, and developing pediatric services.
Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Karen Frenier oversees all aspects of human resource operations for Orlando Health. These areas include team member recruitment, compensation and benefits, education and training, organizational development, HR information systems, team member relations and team member engagement.
Senior Vice President, External Affairs & Community Relations
Andy Gardiner joined Orlando Health in June 2008. He oversees the strategy for corporate external affairs and is responsible for all community and business relations activities for the organization.
R. Erick Hawkins
Senior Vice President of Strategic Management
R. Erick Hawkins is the senior vice president of strategic management. In this role, Erick leads the organizations’ strategic planning, business development, and innovation efforts. Erick previously served as chief financial officer and vice president of heart and vascular services for University of North Carolina REX Healthcare in Raleigh.

Dave was appointed Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer in 2006, and is responsible for the Compliance & Ethics Program that includes Corporate Compliance, Internal Audit, Privacy and Information Security.

Mark A. Jones is senior vice president of Orlando Health and president of Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). His career with Orlando Health began in 1986 as an administrative resident, and he has held various leadership positions throughout the organization.

Mark Marsh is the president of Health Central Hospital and serves as senior vice president of Orlando Health. He joined the organization in 2016 with more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.

Shawn Molsberger joined the organization as president of Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and senior vice president of Orlando Health in July 2018. Mr. Molsberger comes to Orlando Health with 20 years of clinical and executive healthcare experience
John A. Moore
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, South Lake Hospital
John joined Orlando Health in 1997, as the corporate director of orthopedic services and then administrator of community services. John served as the administrator of campus and business development and chief operating officer of South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health, before being named chief executive officer in 2011.
President, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies Senior Vice President, Orlando Health
Kelly Nierstedt is responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction, and the development of women’s and neonatal services of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
Senior Vice President of Ambulatory
Gregory P. Ohe is the senior vice president of ambulatory for Orlando Health. He has served as president of Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, overseeing the 171-bed hospital; Health Central Park, a nursing and rehabilitation center; Express Care, an urgent care walk-in clinic; and a state-of-the-art surgery center.
Mark Roh, MD
President, Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center
Mark Roh, MD, MMM, FACS, serves as the president of Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center. An internationally renowned liver cancer surgeon, Dr. Roh also serves as the chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Cancer Center.
Andrew J. Snyder
Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Andrew Snyder is the senior vice president of marketing and communications. He most recently served as vice president and chief marketing officer for AMITA Health in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he oversaw all aspects of marketing, brand management and web/social media strategy.
Thibaut van Marcke
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital
Thibaut van Marcke is the senior vice president of Orlando Health, and president of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. Prior to his current role, Thibaut was vice president and chief operating officer for HCA - North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.
Ryan joined Orlando Health in 2012; he holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Juris Doctorate degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.
