Carolyn Scott, RN, BSN, DNP

Carolyn Scott, RN, BSN, DNP, is chief nursing officer of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital where she oversees the hospital’s nursing services and coordinates the daily operations to ensure patients receive the highest level of care. Carolyn is responsible for leading the hospital’s nursing vision, strategic direction and delivery of care.

Carolyn comes to Orlando Health with 20 years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, she served in a nursing leadership position with Emory Healthcare at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Prior to that, she served in a variety of leadership roles at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Memorial Health University Medical Center and Carolinas HealthCare System.

Carolyn earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Excelsior College and an Associate of Science in nursing from Florida Keys Community College.
