Amy Wheeler, MHA

Amy Wheeler serves as assistant vice president of Orlando Health’s Southeast Region and chief financial officer for Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. She is responsible for providing financial expertise, monitoring daily operating expenses and developing key performance indicators for Orlando Health’s Southeast Region, encompassing Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital and the freestanding emergency departments in Kissimmee and Randal Park. Amy brings nearly two decades of progressive healthcare finance, strategic planning and operations leadership experience to the role.

Prior to joining Orlando Health, Amy served as chief financial officer for Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. Under her leadership, Eastside experienced significant volume growth and overall financial stability. Previously, Amy also served as chief financial officer for Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and controller of TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and a master’s degree in health administration from Ashford University in San Diego, California. Amy has been involved in several community organizations and is a graduate of the TriStar Leadership Academy and Leadership Gwinnett programs.
