Dan Bowen is president of Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital, leading operations of the 145-bed East Region hospital in Indian River County.

With more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience across hospital systems and integrated delivery networks, Dan previously served as market chief operating officer for Piedmont Medical Center in South Carolina. He directed daily operations across multiple facilities, spearheading major renovations, enhancing service line growth and implementing protocols that improved patient outcomes.

In prior roles, Dan served as president of several hospitals in the Health First system, where he was responsible for clinical and non-clinical operations. Dan also brings significant leadership and medical operations experience from his distinguished 21-year career in the United States Air Force, promoting to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dan finished his military career at Travis Air Force Base in California, where he led supply chain operations, medical equipment and contract management programs and oversaw construction projects for the Air Force’s largest medical center.

Dan earned a bachelor’s from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an MBA from Webster University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds a Six Sigma Lean Green Belt in Healthcare.
