Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez is vice president and chief technology officer of information technology and clinical engineering at Orlando Health. Omar oversees clinical engineering, customer contact centers, digital technologies for patient and provider experience, and customer relationship management. He also provides executive oversight of enterprise architecture and IT infrastructure and will continue to support the Puerto Rico market through technology, program management and other Orlando Health advisory services.

Previously, Omar served as vice president of Orlando Health’s Puerto Rico/Caribbean Region, responsible for strategic development, operational performance and organizational success. Omar joined Orlando Health in 2008 and held progressive leadership positions in information technology services, serving as assistant vice president for the Orlando Health West Region and for enterprise technology strategy and design.

Omar earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences at Inter American University of Puerto Rico, a master’s degree in digital journalism and design from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and an MBA in management from Strayer University in Orlando.
