As vice president of Orlando Health’s Puerto Rico/Caribbean Region, Omar Gonzalez is responsible for strategic development, operational performance and organizational success within the region.

Omar first joined Orlando Health in 2008 and has held progressive leadership positions in information technology (IT) services. Most recently, he was assistant vice president of Technology Strategy and Design, overseeing Orlando Health regions beyond Central Florida.

After completing his undergraduate degree in social sciences at Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Omar went on to earn his MBA in management from Strayer University in Orlando. He also received a master’s degree in digital journalism and design from the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida. Omar also has completed several business certifications in the IT field.

Omar’s community involvement has included volunteering with Special Olympics and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
