Lainie Fox Ackerman leads and develops community benefit, community relations and sports partnership initiatives that support Orlando Health’s mission, strategic imperatives and operations. With years of experience in leading teams in community engagement, partnerships and community health needs, Lainie now has oversight of more than 400 community partners and 80 sports partnerships.

Joining Orlando Health in 2007, Lainie served in progressive leadership roles in compliance, community benefit and external affairs. She led Orlando Health’s first Community Health Needs Assessment, as required by the Internal Revenue Service, and developed the Orlando Health Community Grant Program.

Lainie earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Florida in Gainesville followed by a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. She is chair of the Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) Coordinating Committee and a board member for the Center for Independent Living in Central Florida, 4Roots, Central Florida Kidney Centers and Live Tampa Bay.
