Teresa Volkerson

Assistant Vice President, Orlando Health Medical Group

Teresa Volkerson is assistant vice president for Orlando Health Medical Group, overseeing operations of the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute and providing administrative support to Orlando Health’s development of organ transplant services.

Teresa joined Orlando Health in 2007, most recently serving as associate chief operating officer at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she had direct operational oversight for various ancillary departments. Teresa also has served as administrator of allied health and support services for Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies; director of rehabilitation for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children; and supervisor of Orlando Health’s rehabilitation unit. Teresa began her career as a lead therapist for adolescent sports medicine.

Teresa earned an MBA and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s in exercise science from Florida State University.
