Michelle Taverna Farrell

Vice President, Revenue Management

As vice president of revenue management, Michelle Taverna Farrell is responsible for overseeing the organization’s revenue cycle, including patient access, clinical documentation excellence, health information management and hospital coding.

Michelle joined Orlando Health in 1998 as a member of the patient access team for the emergency department. She was named assistant vice president for revenue management in 2016, where she pioneered the clinical documentation excellence team and led the patient access and health information management transition to the Epic electronic health record system.

Michelle earned a bachelor’s in communication from St. John’s University in New York City and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She held an appointment on the National Advisory Council for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) for two years and currently is a member of the HFMA Large System Revenue Cycle Council and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
