Ashwin Prakash, MD, PhD, serves as Orlando Health’s chief data, analytics and AI officer. He leads initiatives to shape the organization’s data-driven strategy designed to foster innovation and drive growth, leveraging advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Ashwin focuses on maturing and transforming Orlando Health’s data and analytics programs — across people, processes and technologies — to the highest levels recognized by healthcare industry experts.

Previously, Ashwin served as chief data and AI officer at Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tennessee, where he aligned innovation with the organizational goals to improve patient outcomes, optimize operations and drive strategic growth.

Ashwin earned his medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India, a doctorate in biomedical sciences from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
