Joe Minahan

President, Baptist Health Medical Group

As president of Baptist Health Medical Group, Joe Minahan guides the strategic direction and vision for more than 170 employed clinicians across the Alabama Region. He also oversees recruitment and retention of physicians and acts as a bridge between frontline medical team members and executive leadership.

Joe joined Baptist Health with over 25 years of experience as a dedicated healthcare executive. Previously, he served as president of the physician group at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he led a significant expansion within the physician group and spearheaded the development and implementation of an $18 million centralized remote access center.

Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in history and pre-law from Roanoke College in Virginia and an MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University.
