Howard Brown

Assistant Vice President, Orlando Health; Chief Financial Officer, Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital and Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital

In his role of chief financial officer for Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital and Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital, Howard Brown oversees the financial operations for the two hospitals — providing financial expertise, monitoring daily operating expenses and developing key performance indicators.

Prior to joining Orlando Health, Howard’s experience in progressive financial healthcare, strategic planning, and budgeting and forecasting proficiency spanned nearly two decades. Most recently, Howard served as chief financial officer for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, where he achieved impressive revenue growth and length of stay targets. Previously, Howard was chief financial officer for North Shore Medical Center in Miami and financial controller for St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Howard earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
