Mark Mines, MD, FACC, serves as chief medical officer of the soon-to-open Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital. In this strategic leadership role, he oversees medical operations and fosters collaboration between Watson Clinic and Orlando Health to advance clinical excellence.

A highly respected interventional cardiologist, Mark has served the Lakeland community for more than two decades. He has held numerous leadership positions, including chief of staff and chief of cardiology at the Watson Clinic and Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. His contributions to clinical education, research and cardiac care have been recognized with multiple honors, including the American Heart Association Medical Fellowship Award.

Mark earned his medical degree from the University of Florida and is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He has held academic appointments at the University of Florida Health Science Center, including roles as an instructor and assistant professor of medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and American Heart Association.
