Andy Shunk

Assistant Vice President, Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute

As assistant vice president of Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, Andy Shunk oversees daily operations and helps lead strategic planning and implementation of systemwide programs related to cardiovascular care. Andy brings to his role nearly two decades of experience in healthcare administration and leadership.

Andy joined Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute in 2018 as director of ambulatory services followed by senior director of operations for four years. Prior, he held leadership positions at hospitals in Naples, The Villages and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital in Longwood.

Andy earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and a master’s in healthcare administration from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. He is involved in the local community, including serving as a board member of the Greater Orlando American Heart Association and the Longwood City Council.
