Melissa Battles

Vice President of Real Estate, Asset Strategy

As vice president of real estate on the Asset Strategy team, Melissa Battles is responsible for identifying and executing real estate solutions as part of the enterprise strategy. Melissa leads the planning, analysis and negotiation of property acquisition supporting the strategic growth and expansion of Orlando Health, as well as directs property management, lease administration and space utilization for the organization's systemwide real estate portfolio.

Melissa joined Orlando Health’s legal department in 2019 as corporate counsel. She then served as assistant vice president of real estate for two years before assuming her current role. Prior to joining Orlando Health, Melissa was an attorney and partner with Mateer & Harbert in Orlando, where she handled commercial real estate transactions and counseled clients on the acquisition, development and leasing of commercial properties. During her tenure there, Melissa worked with and advised Orlando Health on a comprehensive range of real estate legal matters.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
