Vice President, Supply Chain Services and Chief Supply Chain Officer

Cairo Wasfy is responsible for developing and leading the execution of strategic initiatives and operations for the organization’s supply chain. He partners with clinical, hospital and ambulatory leadership to reduce cost of care for service lines while improving clinical outcomes and patient experience.

Most recently, Cairo served as chief resource officer with Ardent Health, where he oversaw enterprise-wide supply chain, purchased services, pharmacy and laboratory services and operations for the system’s 30 hospitals and more than 200 care sites across six states. Prior roles included COO of supply chain and pharmacy for HealthTrust Purchasing Group and its HCA Healthcare East Florida division, and leadership roles with Ascension Health Resource Group.

Cairo earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and an MBA, both from the University of West Florida in Pensacola. He is Lean Six Sigma certified and a member of the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management of the American Hospital Association. Cairo was named one of 75 Hospital and Health System Chief Pharmacy Officers to Know for 2024 by Becker's Healthcare.
