Vice President, Supply Chain Services and Chief Supply Chain Officer

Cairo Wasfy serves as vice president of supply chain services and chief supply chain officer, leading Orlando Health’s execution of strategic initiatives and operations for the organization’s supply chain. He collaborates with clinical, hospital and ambulatory leadership to reduce the cost of care while enhancing clinical outcomes and patient experience.

Prior to joining Orlando Health in 2024, Cairo was chief resource officer with Ardent Health in Nashville, Tennessee. There, he oversaw enterprise-wide supply chain services for the system’s 30 hospitals and more than 200 care sites across six states. Cairo’s previous roles include chief operating officer of supply chain and pharmacy for HealthTrust Purchasing Group and its HCA Healthcare East Florida division, as well as leadership positions with Ascension Health Resource Group.

Cairo earned bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and an MBA from the University of West Florida in Pensacola. He is Lean Six Sigma certified and a member of the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management of the American Hospital Association. Cairo was named one of 75 Hospital and Health System Chief Pharmacy Officers to Know for 2024 by Becker’s Healthcare.
