Wendy Huhn, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Endocrinology. She diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the endocrine system, which is comprised of organs and glands that secrete hormones throughout the body. Common endocrine conditions are diabetes and thyroid dysfunction.
What Is Endocrinology?
Endocrinology is a specialized area of medicine requiring a highly trained physician such as Dr. Huhn to determine why the body is not secreting hormones as it should. While most hormones are delivered via the blood stream, organs and glands secreting hormones in an abnormal manner are of concern.
She diagnoses these conditions and helps patients manage a number of disorders. She discusses available treatment options and works with her patients to develop a personalized plan to help them live a healthier life. Often simple lifestyle changes have a significant impact and lead to improved health.
